Social media could actually be a good thing for teens. It turns out they're using social media to build their friendships. The Pew Research Center found that 49% of 13-17-year-olds share accomplishments on social media and 44% post about family, while nearly half of teens rarely or never share selfies. In addition, only 15% say they selectively hide content from certain people, meaning most parents can see for themselves exactly what’s on their teen’s feed. (Intelligencer)
