Google searches for “Millennial” have overtaken “Hipster” this year. That’s right, once upon a time being jobless, having a beard, eating avocado toast, drinking craft beer, and more “hipster” stereotypes filled clickbait headlines; now, those same traits are ascribed to Millennials, and Google Trends reflects the shift. Basically, the “Brooklyn-born subculture” has moved from niche to mainstream—at least in the eyes of the internet. (Slate)
