Older Millennials are increasingly becoming the most active phone users. According to the December 2016 Deloitte Mobile Consumer Survey, 25-34-year-olds are showing higher usage patterns than 18-24-year-olds, with three-quarters stating they check their phones in the middle of the night. They are also increasingly using phones for financial purposes: 21% of 25-34-year-olds are making in-store payments with their smartphones at least once a week, up from 13% in 2015, while only 8% of 35-44-year-olds can say the same.
