Millennials just can’t keep up with their Boomer parents.

Millennials just can’t keep up with their Boomer parents. A new analysis of Federal Reserve data by the advocacy group Young Invincibles reports that Millennials are earning 20% less than Boomers did at the same stage in life, with a median household income of $40,581. Although education does increase income, a further analysis of median college-educated 25-34-year-olds with student debt in 2013 shows they are only making slightly more than a Boomer without a degree did in 1989.
