The NBA is looking to speed things up for their Millennial audience. Thanks to younger viewers’ “increasingly short attention spans,” the NBA’s competition committee has been tracking games to figure out what aspects can be cut, and at what points fans are tuning out. Shortening games is not a new goal for the league, which in the past has downsized the number of foul shots, and eliminated timeouts, making the game a more “a streamlined product that, despite some lingering flaws, remains fun to watch.” (Yahoo Sports)
