Teens who get their news from social media are more likely to support the First Amendment, according to a Knight Foundation report. Over seven in ten high school students who “often” engage with news on social media, agree with the statement “people should be able to express unpopular opinions,” compared to 56% of students who “never” engage with news online. Overall, 91% of high school students agree with the statement, an increase from the 83% in 2004. (Mashable, Knight Foundation)
