Facebook has unveiled their VR and AR future. Facebook Spaces is the company’s new app—currently in beta—for Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch that allows users to hang out with friends in a virtual reality world. Users can customize their avatars, view Facebook content, including 360-degree videos and photos, use Messenger to invite friends, and draw with a virtual marker within the space. Facebook also announced their plans for AR, saying the initial focus will be on phone cameras, not glasses, and they’ll be using the technology to personalize and interact with surroundings.
