Amazon is slowly circling Blue Apron, as it makes moves towards launching its own meal kit service. Amazon introduced their first meal kits in Seattle after they applied for a trademark that reads, “We do the prep, you be the chef,” among others. The kits cost $8-$10, similar to the currently struggling Blue Apron’s offerings. Amazon is opportunistically moving in to take over one of Gen Z and Millennials’ top food trends, while continuing to beef up its other food offerings. (MarketWatch, BuzzFeed)
