Millennials can now crowdfund for their future homes—sort of. Startup eFund is making investing feel like crowdfunding by asking hopeful homeowners to invest a minimum of 1,000 shares at $10 a piece towards building and renovating houses in their area. When the homes are ready, investors can purchase with 10% off the total they would pay through a broker. The Los Angeles eFund exceeds $50 million, and 20 houses are already being built in Hollywood. The startup estimates it could build 250 to 750 homes in the next five years. (Business Insider)
