Only a dad would make an app that freezes teens’ phones until their text is answered—and one did. The “frustrated dad,” Nick Herbert, came up with ReplyASAP when his son’s phone was on silent one too many times. Now, parents (and anyone with the app) can link up phones so that their message triggers an alarm that won’t turn off until the message is read or snoozed. Herbert is helping parents with “teenage children who don't respond to anything,” but says its meant for emergencies only. Of course, that all depends on a parent’s definition of “emergency.” (CBS News)
