Wait Until 8th started in Texas earlier this year, and “more than 3,700 families in more than 50 states” have reportedly taken the pledge since. Basic phones for calling and texting are encouraged but smartphones are cited as “distracting,” “addictive,” and a way children could get cyberbullied.
