The U.K. National Health Service launched a TikTok to combat misinformation. Health misinformation is rife on social media, thanks in part to creators who spread false claims about unverified treatments or discourage others from using conventional medicine. To help young people parse through the noise, the NHS created a TikTok profile where real doctors explain things like vaccinations and seasonal health advice, often with Gen Z humor.
