Airbnb is betting on creators. Soon, travelers will be able to book local Experiences on the platform hosted by their favorite content creators and influencers. After tests that reportedly showed “strong conversion,” creator-led experiences will be officially added to the platform. Airbnb’s CEO called the effort a huge opportunity as “travel becomes more…driven by communities,” and cited creators’ marketing abilities and built-in, devoted audiences as the secret to their success. He also claims that this could be an opportunity for creators to increase their earnings as payouts on big social platforms decline.
