A new Gen Z-founded app lets users create “virtual malls.” Instead of bouncing between multiple websites and apps, users can track sales, restocks, drops, and build a personalized feed of their favorite brands on an up-and-coming platform aptly called The Mall. The app pulls product data from more than 10K brands and uses AI to organize everything, making online shopping feel more like a curated feed instead of a traditional website. Users can also share their “malls” with their friends, adding a social element to the shopping experience. Founded by 25-year-old Sreya Halder and 28-year-old Ellie Konsker, The Mall is currently in early beta testing and is set to launch by the end of the summer. YPulse knows that Gen Z shops anywhere and everywhere, whether it’s IRL in malls or on TikTok Shop. They’re also used to personalized algorithms everywhere, so a feed that knows what they want to buy before they do is becoming an expectation. (TechCrunch)
