Some Gen Z prioritize gym access over sunny skies on vacation. For many young people, trips are less about over-indulgence and more about trying new experiences, which can mean staying active in a new way or simply seeing a new place. According to a new study by U.K.-based brand The Gym Group, one third of 18-29-year-olds plan their holidays around exercise. Nearly half of young adults also said their fitness plans have influenced their vacation plans more today versus five years ago. While traveling, many like to go swimming, walk long distances, and hit the gym for their usual routine. The study also shows that approximately one third of Gen Z like to stay active on vacation for their mental wellbeing. YPulse data shows that more than half of European 18-24-year-olds want to partake in nature and outdoor activities (like hiking and biking) while on a trip. (Mirror)
