The U.K. is rejoining the Erasmus+ exchange program in 2027. After five years out of the program because ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson said it was too expensive, this is a post-Brexit plot twist—one more than 100,000 people are expected to benefit from in the first year. This means that British students will have the chance to study, work, or train across Europe with financial support—or European students can do the same in the U.K. YPulse’s 2025 Education and University report shows that study abroad opportunities weren’t one of the very top factors that students consider when choosing a university. However, young Europeans are always encouraged to get out and see the rest of the world, and completing their studies for minimal tuition makes it possible for more. (DW)
