Gen Z is entering their wedding era, and using social media and AI to plan their events. According to The Knot, Gen Z now makes up 41% of the wedding market, and weddings are still a “non-negotiable life milestone.” (A finding YPulse data supports, with 70% of unwed 18-24-year-olds telling usthey want to get married.) But, of course, they’re tackling this milestone in their own way, from embracing lab-grown diamonds to focusing on personal expression at their wedding celebrations. They’re also using the tools they have at hand, with 36% of engaged couples reportedly using AI to plan their weddings in 2025—up from 20% in 2024. They’re asking chatbots questions to get planning and ideas kicked off and drafting communications, all of which echoes how Gen Z is using AI day-to-day. Couples who “identify as Gen Z” are also more likely to be using social media, and specifically TikTok, to find wedding inspo. (The Knot)
