Even as dating app fatigue is all over headlines, swiping hasn’t gone anywhere for Gen Z and Millennials. Dating apps remain one of the top ways young people meet potential partners—and that’s true across borders, not just generations. YPulse’s Dating & Relationships report shows young Europeans and Americans are nearly equally likely to use dating apps: 43% in Western Europe and 45% in North America. And they’re often on the same platforms, too. YPulse data also shows Tinder and Hinge both take the top two spots for young Europeans and Americans’ favorite dating apps. But, similar usage doesn’t mean they’re looking for the same thing once they’re there.   In YPulse’s Dating & Relationships survey, we ask 18-39-year-old dating app users in North America and Western Europe why they use these platforms.
