Pinterest launched a “Thrift Shop” feature full of secondhand items from its community.

Pinterest launched a “Thrift Shop” feature full of secondhand items from its community. Gen Z’s love for thrift shopping has exploded over the last few years—YPulse data shows 78% of 18-24-year-olds have purchased a secondhand item, and Pinterest has taken notice. The platform launched a new ecommerce experience featuring secondhand clothing from “top vintage and thrift retailers” in the Pinterest community. The move comes as Pinterest aims to connect with even more Gen Z users—who have become their largest audience—as Millennials age out of the app. And as they push more social shopping without ever leaving the app, they’re recognizing the appeal of other online secondhand stores (like Facebook Marketplace) that Gen Z can’t get enough of.(Tubefilter)
