Walmart is tapping into the Labubu resale craze. Young adults have been fueling the Labubu trend, selling out restocks and hanging them from their bags as status symbols. To hop on the trend, the retail giant is now selling the plushies—some for over $200—through StockX. The platform, a partner of Walmart, is best known for reselling high-demand sneakers and streetwear, as it verifies all items for authenticity. Adding the toys is part of Walmart’s move to expand its marketplace with pre-verified and sought-after products that appeal to collectors, enthusiasts, and, of course, young people. Earlier this summer, we reported that young fans aren’t just collecting them—they’re hunting them like rare treasure, so Walmart launching the dolls on StockX could be where they search next.
