Some young girls are hiring “rush coaches” to help them prep for sorority recruitment. As more young women—high school and college students alike—aspire to join popular sororities, many who can are paying “rush coaches” to help them prepare for the big day. (No doubt after seeing years of viral content about ‘Bama rush and more.) They’re getting guidance on everything from outfit choices and résumé tweaks to social media clean-ups and mock interviews. These services can sometimes cost thousands, but come with the promise of helping young women stand out while still fitting in with a sorority’s image, giving them a ticket to a lifetime of connections. While the process can be expensive and emotionally intense, many say the extra prep is worth it for the confidence boost and the chance to secure their dream bid. (The Cut)
