Olipop is promoting their new pineapple flavor to teen boys on Roblox. The limited-edition Pineapple Paradise soda, launched in partnership with the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants: Search For SquarePants movie, is now part of the popular SpongeBob Tower Defense game within Roblox. With the Olipop activation, players can unlock five can designs and win free products, including a 4-pack of the soda for 5K lucky users. Plus, fans who collect all five cans in the game can submit proof online for even more prizes. The health soda is already popular among young women, but this campaign seems more targeted at widening their reach. And with YPulse data showing 64% of 13-17-year-old boys enjoy spotting brands’ advertising in games, Olipop’s move taps into a space where young people—boys especially in adventure games—are already highly engaged.
