Scentbird’s “scent-a-long” event combined Gen Z’s love of fragrance and entertainment. YPulse has said before that fragrance is one of Gen Z’s favorite accessories. Scentbird took the love for perfume up a notch with their unconventional entertainment partnership—a “scent-a-long” during a screening of the I Know What You Did Last Summer movie. The event, held at the Union Square Regal Theater in New York, included a $35 fragrance set made in collaboration with the movie—each of the five scents corresponded with different scenes—which were sprayed throughout the screening. (A real 4-D experience!) The brand says their goal was to tap into the “idea of multi-sensory, enhanced entertainment” and elevate the viewing experience by adding an olfactory layer, which aligns with Gen Z’s affinity for “scent wardrobes.” (Glossy)
