A new mobile dating app is using facial recognition technology to see what matches have the most chemistry. Heystax allows matches to engage in a 30-second video call, where facial tracking tech will be used to read expressions and determine how smitten each party is. Adding a “level of gamification,” the app will score the chats and users can decide if they want to keep chatting over. The “digital wingman” scoring feature will also attempt to set-up better matches in the future. According to a Ypulse monthly survey, 22% of 18-33-year-olds have used a dating app. (Springwise)
