Millennials are moving out to the burbs…or at least, they’re not buying as many homes in the city. As the generation gets older, they’re looking for bigger, more affordable space to accommodate growing families. That means fewer are making permanent homes in urban areas: according to a 2015 survey by the National Association of Realtors, only 17% of Millennials bought a home in an urban or central city location, down 4% from the previous year. Of course, a large portion of Millennials still say student loan debt is preventing them from buying homes anywhere. (CNBC)
