Reddit has released its first official, much anticipated, app on iOS and Android. Before now, users were downloading third-party app Alien Blue to access the site via mobile, which the platform acquired in 2014. Reddit has since been in the process of rebuilding it to be “faster, more modern, and more usable.” Within a day of release, the official app landed as number one on the U.S. App Store charts, ahead of Twitter, Snapchat, and Facebook, and is reportedly gaining iOS 200,000 users every 24 hours.
