From deciding whether college is the right next step, to weighing tuition costs, mental health needs, and online learning tools, Gen Z students are rewriting the traditional playbook.

YPulse’s 2025 Education and College report dives into how Gen Z students are thinking about higher ed, the key differences young men and women show in what they’re looking to gain from college, and how / where young people are learning new things.

Report length: 22 pages, North America report is based on surveys of 1500 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. and Canada, fielded March 2025. Western Europe report is based on a survey of 2500 13-39-year-olds in the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, and Germany, fielded in March 2025
