Millennials are spending more time on their phones than with actual people.

Jun 23 2016

Millennials are spending more time on their phones than with actual people. Recently released data from Bank of America has revealed that 39% of 18-34-year-olds are interacting more with their smartphones than a significant other, family, co-workers, or friends—compared to 29% of respondents overall. For Millennials, less in-person socializing may actually be a goal: More than seven in ten say they’ve used their smartphone to escape a social interaction. According to Experian, one in five Millennials are also using their phone to read the news during the week, and they are age group most likely to use their phone to stay in touch with friends.
