Young people love collecting, but luxury items aren’t quite at the top of their list. While QZ found that 94% of wealthy individuals under-44-years-old are interested in collectibles, watches, wine, or handbags are more popular than traditional luxuries like fine art. However, most Millennials and Gen Z aren’t focused on this kind of collecting: YPulse reports that half of Gen Z and Millennial males (51%) and females (56%) consider themselves collectors, with young women gravitating toward makeup, skincare, and clothing, while young men are more likely to collect trading cards, figurines, and sports memorabilia.
