The backlash to parent’s social media oversharing has gotten extreme: an 18-year-old in Austria is suing her parents for refusing to stop posting photos of her to their Facebook album. The album, which she discovered after she was old enough to be on the platform, had around 500 photos of her, and according to the teen, “They knew no shame and no limit and didn't care whether it was a picture of me sitting on the toilet or lying naked in my cot.” According to a survey at the University of Washington and University of Michigan, one of the most common requests from 10-17-year-olds in the U.S. is that their parents not post photos of them without their permission.
