The healthcare industry and Millennials may not be on the same page. A greyhealth group study found that only 58% of Millennials trust their physicians and only 41% see them as the single best source of information—compared to 73% and 68% of non-Millennials respectively. Traditionally “a primary care physician serves as a trusted advisor for patients and a trusted intermediary for pharmaceutical companies and insurers,” so researchers behind the survey suggest the healthcare industry be more open to hearing out young consumers and let them not only seek care but be part of the solution.
