Nerf toy guns and Troll dolls are making a comeback, riding the wave of Millennial nostalgia. Hasbro is reporting a 19% growth in third quarter revenues from its partner brands, thanks in part to DreamWorks Animation's cartoon Trolls that is driving sales of the dolls. Nickelodeon was among the first to tap into young consumers’ desire to relive their childhoods when in 2011 they launched a late-night program block of ‘90s shows, like Hey Arnold! and Rugrats, that tripled ratings and reached record viewership levels.
