Tinder’s simple, sleek swipe-to-choose design has been borrowed by multiple startups trying to appeal to young consumers, and one is taking off in a big way. Plague, an app for spreading information virally, has a user base that is “growing rapidly” and an addictive design. Created to be a “gamified version of Reddit,” the app allows users to swipe through posts that are shared—those that are swiped up are shared with their group, encouraging the distribution of interesting content.
