A massive sexting scandal at a Colorado school has highlighted the difficulties of policing risqué texting among minors. Students at Cañon City High School were circulating a reported 300 to 400 nude photos, with a “significant percentage” of both boys and girls in the student body participating. Though underage sexting can technically count as distributing child pornography, “because most of the people at fault are themselves minors and, in some cases, took pictures of themselves and sent them to others, law enforcement officials are at a loss as to how to proceed.” (NYTimes)
