Netflix’s live boxing match brought tons of viral value—good and bad.

Netflix’s live boxing match brought tons of viral value—good and bad. The long-awaited match between influencer Jake Paul and Mike Tyson naturally made headlines, but not just because Paul won. (Which plenty online are saying is a staged win.) On X, some of the 60M household viewers shared in real time as their streaming buffered or fully blacked out after waiting hours for the fight to begin. But a whopping 6.4M viewers (whether Netflix subscribers or not) tuned into an X livestream from the actual fight location pointed at the scoreboard footage. These issues are setting a frightful tone for Netflix’s next live streaming events, as it’s hosting the family favorite NFL Christmas game. (Sporting News)
