This year, gaming gear is kids’ most popular choice for Christmas gifts. The majority (76%) of kids are asking their parents for new gaming-related items for the holidays this year. And specifically, 47% of children are hoping for a new gaming console—which is no cheap ask. However, it won’t be just for the kiddos; The Entertainment Software Association finds 83% of U.S. parents are engaging in games with their kids and over half doing so a weekly basis, making it a major bonding experience. In addition to gaming items, money and gift cards rank high on Christmas wish lists, followed closely by clothing and other electronics. (Kidscreen)
