Bumble’s data shows young people’s 2025 dating trends are about small, but meaningful, romantic gestures.

Nov 18 2024

Bumble’s data shows young people’s 2025 dating trends are about small, but meaningful, romantic gestures. Over 40K Gen Z and Millennial app users are increasingly valuing “micro-mance” gestures, like shared playlists and taking early morning walks together. And something like a playlist is the perfect way to unlock the trend of connecting over “unique and quirky interests,” which Bumble found is key for almost half of Gen Z. These users are also driving conversation on what masculinity means to them, as men and women look to challenge stereotypes and seek healthier expressions of gender roles. Young daters also feel that TikTok and Instagram are bringing more authenticity to dating for the year to come—these platforms showing both the highs and lows of relationships, helping first-time daters feel less self-conscious and more confident.
