Spain is giving young people €6K to help move out of their parents’ homes.

Spain is giving young people €6K to help move out of their parents’ homes. High interest rates and booming property prices have made it very hard for young people in Europe to access the property ladder. In turn, only 16% of young Spaniards have moved out of the family house according to government figures. With the new program, under–35-years-old renters who have a regular income can benefit from this financial boost of €250 per month for two years. But while young people will gladly get some extra cash, the measure is unlikely to solve the housing crisis in the country—rent now represents over 90% of young Spaniards’ net salary. (The Local)

📊 YPulse data: 69% of Spanish 13-39-year-olds agree, “It’s harder for my generation to accomplish life goals than past generations”
