Is Gen Z’s interest in Facebook on the rise? Pew Research found that only a third of teens used Facebook last year, compared to 71% of those 50-years-and-older who were active on the platform. But to better engage with Gen Z, especially Gen Z creators, Meta has been heavily investing in artificial intelligence, video content, and monetization opportunities for creators. In May, the company announced it had 40M daily active users 18-29-years-old in the U.S. and Canada, which is the highest figure for that demographic in three years. And the platform is focusing on improving its main feed to provide content that resonates more with young audiences, while also attracting creators in the hopes that their followers will join as well.
