Many Gen Z are skipping four-year college education in order to pursue trades. A recent survey by Intelligent found that a third of Gen Z plan to pursue blue-collar careers, while 45% believe artificial intelligence will replace many white-collar jobs. As a result, many businesses are having to get creative to find and retain young trade workers. You already know Gen Z values relatability, so once they’re hired, businesses must ensure their jobs have meaning and purpose. And despite the demand for skilled trade workers, the supply is still limited, making it a favorable job market for young people. (Fast Company)
