IKEA is hiring virtual assistants for its new Roblox store. IKEA’s very first metaverse activation is more than a virtual store: it’s a place designed “to introduce users to the breadth of roles and career progression routes available at IKEA.” The virtual world, called The Co-Worker Game, allows players to experience what it’s like to work at IKEA—but players can also simply hang out and eat meatballs. IKEA is even offering 10 paid positions for virtual assistants whose job will be to assist customers and work in different sections when the store opens on June 24. (Marketing Week)
