Student-led housing estates are popping up in Amsterdam. A few years ago, a group of students dreamt of building an estate to fight the housing crisis. It just so happened that the city council was voting to build more cooperatives, which members own and control. Now, their building is under construction and Amsterdam is even planning to build more of these in the near future. (The Guardian)
