In Germany, big companies are campaigning against the rise of the far right. Some of Germany’s major companies, including BMW and Deutsche Bank, are coming together against the political party Alternative for Germany which is gaining popularity in the country. This alliance of 30 companies sent a memo to their collective 1.7M employees to warn of the negative impact of far-right policies on the economy and remind them to vote in the upcoming EU elections. The statement was notably bold, as German brands don’t typically engage in political issues. (The Local)
