YouTube is adding new features for its “AI chapters” and livestreamers. Using a new “AI driven process,” the platform is testing a new way for users to skip a video to quickly access “the best parts of a clip,” taking into account the most watched segments. With more users consuming YouTube content on their TV sets, this feature will be particularly valuable, eliminating the need to press and hold the forward button on their remotes when they want to skip to certain parts of a video. Meanwhile, livestreamers are also getting some updates like Live Reactions that allow livestreamers “to view reactions to their broadcasts, and where they occurred, via their analytics,” as well as the ability to stream in HDR (higher quality).
