Google is investing in a new platform to help Gen Z find freelance jobs. As more of the gen gears up to graduate college, their job outlook is ridden with anxiety. But to get experience that fits within their schedules—which will prep them for the kinds of creative careers they’re interested in—the founders of Home From College want to connect students with paid gig roles. Even recent grads can use the platform to find brands wanting young people to make content, design logos, review products, and more—though paid content creation is a big focus. With 100K users at present, GV (formerly Google Ventures) has invested $5.4M in the platform. (TechCrunch)
