The British Army created a virtual space in Fortnite—but was forced to remove it. In an effort to reach the next gen, the British military decided to launch a Fortnite experience named “Operation Belong.” After the news sparked a controversy on X / Twitter, Epic Games eventually removed the virtual activation claiming that “enrolment in the military” was against their guidelines. Fortnite is hugely popular among 13-24-year-olds in Western Europe: it’s their second top favorite game according to data from YPulse’s Gaming report.
