New research finds that if given the chance, a majority of Gen Z would become influencers.

New research finds that if given the chance, a majority of Gen Z would become influencers. A survey from decision intelligence company Morning Consult found that 81% of Gen Z would take up an offer to become an influencer, and 30% would even pay for this to become their career. What’s even more shocking is that another study from HigherVisibility found that while a quarter of Gen Z aspire to be influencers, 20% of men and 13% of women said it was their sole career path plan. Much of this desire to take on social media as a full-time job seems to be due to the potential “lucrative” salary if successful, free PR (such as trips and products), and the independence / flexibility the career provides. Young people are leaning on each other to make this a reality, too, as YPulse has told you young creators are fueling trends that help others get into the influencing industry. (The Hustle)
