Pinterest is implementing artificial intelligence to increase visibility of more body types. The fashion inspiration photos so many Pinterest users search for can often yield results of only thinner people, and Pinterest wants to change that. With help from Pinterest creators, advocates, and the National Association of Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA), the platform developed new AI tools to ensure people of all body sizes are being seen in searches. Additionally, Pinterest is launching “a fund dedicated to North American creators in the plus size community,” which is its thirteenth fund supporting the work of marginalized creators. YPulse data shows nearly two in five Gen Z look to social media, including Pinterest, for fashion inspiration. (Mashable)
