Coachtopia’s latest collection is designed by Gen Z college grads. The eco-friendly subsidiary of Coach that is targeted towards the younger generation recently came out with a new set of handbags that were designed by two recent (read: Gen Z) alumni of New York’s Parsons School of Design. The two came from a group of 15 other students who won the Coach Dream It Real x CFDA Design Scholarship Award, which aims to uplift marginalized students in the fashion industry. The SVP of global marketing, creative, and sustainability at Coachtopia says Gen Z’s unique perspective on climate change means “Gen Z designers need to be involved in Coachtopia’s problem-solving.” YPulse research shows that Gen Z is looking for brands to educate consumers about the environment, and Coach is doing this while letting Gen Z play an active role the conversation.
