The creator economy is growing—and more Gen Z designers are creating pieces for the metaverse. Genies has become a new hub for digital designers and their new Genies Studio app is seeing a ton of downloads from Gen Z. Through Genies, young designers and artists are creating fashion looks for avatars. The app “features a creative suite of Cut N’ Mix tools, allowing users to edit the structure of any item – from cutting the sleeves, collars, torsos, pant legs, and more.” On TikTok and Instagram, these designers have been increasingly showing off their avatar wearables and collections. Metaverse fashion designing is a hot industry for Gen Z right now and brands are creating ways for young people to get involved, like Roblox’s partnership with Parson’s School of Design.
